Club Rules and Regulations

  • 1. Only club members and day ticket holders are allowed to fish.
  • 2. The landowner or farm MANAGER must be contacted before anyone may go fishing.
  • 3. All anglers and day ticket holders NAMES must be declared in the catch return books on farms before entering.
  • 4. Catch returns must be entered in book before leaving farm.
  • 5. Only fly fishing tackle allowed.
  • 6. Gates to be left as they were found upon entering and leaving.
  • 7. No fires, dogs, swimming, littering, shooting, off road and fast driving allowed.
  • 8. Membership cards or day tickets must be produced if requested by a land owner or club member.
  • 9. Ensure that the area is left neat and tidy and that no damage is done to plant or animal life.
  • 10. Maximum of one fish per day per club member.
  • 11. Maximum of one fish per day for day ticket holders.
  • 12. Minimum size fish kept 40cm.
  • 13. Maximum of three fish per stay, that exceeds the daily limit, eg. 3 days x 1 fish = 3 fish and still only max of 3 fish even if you stay for 6 days.

    Whilst every effort has been made to ensure your personal wellbeing when using any of Queenstown Fly Fishing clubs facilities or riparian owner’s dams, we request that you sign and return this form promptly to the Queenstown Fly Fishing Club so as to absolve same from any liability for any loss, damage or injury caused whilst using such facility or dam associated with the Queenstown Fly Fishing club.

    I, the above mentioned hereby absolve the Queenstown Fly Fishing club, members and associated riparian owners from any liability for loss, damage or injury caused to myself or personal property and any persons who may accompany me to any of the above mentioned venues.
